Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to LocalVault (hereinafter referred to as “the App”), a local password manager created by an individual developer (hereinafter referred to as “the Service Provider”). The App is free to download with an optional one-time Pro upgrade.

The App is built on a privacy-first foundation — all your data belongs to you, and the Service Provider has no means to access it.

Information Collection

The App does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

• No Analytics Tracking: No analytics, statistics, or telemetry SDKs are integrated
• No Crash Reporting: No crash logs or diagnostic information are collected
• No IP Address Collection: The Service Provider does not collect or log your IP address
• No Usage Statistics: Your page views, session duration, or action history are not tracked
• No Advertising: The App contains no advertisements
• No Third-Party Services: No third-party SDKs are integrated

The App exclusively uses Apple native frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, CryptoKit, Security, CloudKit, StoreKit, LocalAuthentication, etc.), all of which operate under Apple’s privacy constraints.

Your Stored Data

The App is a local password manager. When iCloud sync is not enabled, all data you store in the App (including but not limited to website accounts, passwords, usernames, notes, and category labels) is:

• Stored only on your local device (in the App Group shared container via SwiftData)
• Encrypted end-to-end: using AES-256-GCM encryption
• Inaccessible to the Service Provider: there is no technical means to access your plaintext data
• TOTP Keys: Two-factor authentication keys are encrypted and stored alongside password entries, with the same level of protection

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, encrypted data copies will be uploaded to CloudKit (see the iCloud Sync section for details).
